Tips for closing domain gaps
- Use the same source for every domain (one practice test or one official score report) so gaps are comparable.
- Name domains the way the vendor does (for example SAA-C03 Design Resilient Architectures) so your notes match the exam guide.
- Critical gaps (≥15 points under target) need labs and timed sets before another full mock — more tests alone rarely close them.
- Protect a little time for domains already at target so they do not slip while you chase weak ones.
- Re-run the planner after each full practice test. The ranking should change as gaps close.
- Pair this page with the practice-test count planner so mocks land after focused domain work, not instead of it.

- What is a weak domain on a certification exam?
- A weak domain is any exam area where your practice or official score is below the level you want before sitting. Vendors weight domains differently, but closing the largest percentage gaps first is usually the fastest way to raise an overall score.
- How should I use my AWS, Azure or CompTIA score report?
- Enter each domain name and the percentage or band score the report shows. If the report only shows bars (below / at / above), estimate a number (for example 55 / 75 / 90) and keep those estimates consistent across domains.
- How is this different from the practice test score calculator?
- The score calculator turns correct/incorrect counts into an overall percentage for one sitting. This planner takes domain percentages you already have and turns the gaps into a study-hour allocation until exam day.
- How is this different from the when-to-retake planner?
- The retake planner answers whether to rebook soon after a fail. This page assumes you are still studying and tells you where to put the hours, whether before a first attempt or a retake.
- Does this planner save my scores?
- No. Everything runs in your browser. Nothing is stored on our servers. Use Copy summary or Print if you want a record.
- Is ExamPro affiliated with AWS, Microsoft, Google or CompTIA?
- No. ExamPro Cert Prep is independent study material and is not affiliated with AWS, Microsoft, Google, CompTIA or any other exam vendor. Always follow the official exam guide.
