How to get the most from a mistake log
- Log every miss right after a practice test, while you still remember why you picked the wrong answer.
- Count lucky guesses as misses. They are gaps you have not paid for yet.
- Look at the reason column before the domain column: misreads and rushing are fixed with technique, not more reading.
- Turn each knowledge-gap lesson into one or two flashcards and review them on a spaced schedule.
- Re-test the same domains a few days later and compare how many misses come back.

- What is a practice test mistake log?
- It is a short record of every question you missed (or guessed) on a practice exam: the domain, a one-line topic, why you got it wrong, and the lesson. Over a few tests it shows whether you lose marks to knowledge gaps, misreading, similar-option confusion, careless slips or time pressure.
- Why track the reason, not just the topic?
- Different reasons need different fixes. A knowledge gap needs study, but a misread or a rushed answer needs a reading or pacing habit. This log groups your misses by reason and shows a suggested fix for each.
- Does this work for AWS, Azure, Google Cloud and CompTIA exams?
- Yes. Type the domains or objectives of whatever exam you are preparing for. The log is generic and does not contain any vendor exam questions.
- Is my data saved?
- No. Everything stays in your browser tab. Use Copy, Download CSV or Print to keep your log, for example in a spreadsheet you update after each mock exam.
